What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the Senior Manager with evaluations, approvals and analyses that support pricing and transportation management groups; monitor reports to ensure compliance with financial and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines
- Supervise the support functions in the Worldwide Freight Audit and Payment systems, with an emphasis on the continuous improvement of processes, systems, procedures and resources; calculate and distribute monthly individual freight payment employee production metrics
- Monitor daily workflow to ensure efficient, timely, thorough and accurate invoice auditing and processing, exception invoice resolution and processing of overcharge/undercharge claims
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to address and resolve carrier payment and billing issues
- Oversee contracted vendor setup in various Transportation Management System (TMS) environments
- Handle all management-level responsibilities for staff, including performance reviews, employee development, hiring, firing, coaching and counseling; develop reports and programs to increase the bench strength and flexibility of the team
- Collaborate with operations, customers, carriers and IT on developing and implementing new systems and/or system enhancements supporting the freight payment and audit processes
What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 4 years of experience in transportation and accounts payable
- 2 years of experience supervising a professional staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic knowledge of carrier contracts and rate structures, as well as accounts payable/receivable practices
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Accounting
- Availability to travel occasionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project and time management skills
