As the Manager, Contract Management you will be responsible for overseeing the contract management processes and systems. You’ll provide insightful interpretations and analyses of terms and conditions, and draft and negotiate various contracts.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, renewals, amendments and terms and conditions, e.g., customer and vendor, in a timely and responsive manner
  • Evaluate the commercial viability of potential contracts and provide recommendations to business and legal teams
  • Understand, interpret, and consult with stakeholders regarding contractual terms and associated risk
  • Align contracts with corporate financial objectives and assist with contractual compliance
  • Partner with the Legal, Risk Management, Claims, IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to prioritize contracts, resolve contractual issues and ensure the successful negotiation and timely execution of agreements
  • Efficiently move contracts through the approval process
  • Manage the contract administration processes and systems
  • Organize and maintain contract templates and database
  • Provide ongoing contract risk analysis and reporting
  • Lead contract management projects, including systems integration and implementation
  • Take initiative to identify needs, develop and implement templates, training materials and efficient and effective practices and processes to meet evolving business needs
  • Support the management of the legal department’s contracts team

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Law or related field, or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts with 2 years of management experience

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Demonstrated experience with word processing, presentation, and database applications/programs, including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, and Excel
  • Experience with contract management systems, including the implementation and management of a document repository and complete workflow tools
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, and collaborate with team members to solve problems in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline driven environment
