As the Supervisor, Digital Carrier Procurement, you will serve as the daily point of contact and relationship manager for RXO’s core carriers. Your focus will be on developing and managing relationships with key contacts to look for new opportunities to expand the carrier spend, as well as growing the Brokerage portfolio. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Serve as advocate and liaison for RXO’s top carriers to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain responsibility for the execution of services, including meeting and exceeding KPI requirements
- Develop and execute brokerage growth strategies with assigned carrier base; acquire and expand both contract and spot/transactional business
- Review carrier’s service scores and provide corrective action plans when necessary
- Leverage brokerage pricing techniques and tools, and market awareness and knowledge to effectively secure business while building carrier portfolio; cultivate a core book of business for consistent and repeatable sales
- Collaborate with team members to secure the terms of sale (negotiating rates, identifying carriers, specialized equipment, etc.)
- Ensure integrity of the shipment and the RXO brand by following standard processes
- Monitor and maintain accurate billing to ensure mutually beneficial business operations
- Update internal tracking and reporting systems throughout the day for maintaining accuracy in sales and volume
What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 2 years of transportation sales experience
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field
- Availability to travel occasionally
- 5 years of experience in a transportation sales environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
