Compensation range for this role is : $130,000 - $150,000.

Applicants for this role will be considered in the following markets:  Chicago - IL, Tampa - FL, Detroit - MI, Dallas - TX, New York City - NY.

As a Director, Business Development at RXO, you’ll be a results driven individual contributor focused on forging new business relationships. You’ll strategize and execute innovative business development initiatives, focusing on identifying and capturing new market opportunities to ensure RXO remains at the forefront of the logistics industry. Your contributions will be crucial in positioning RXO as a leader in providing cutting-edge logistics solutions and expanding our global footprint.

 

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Responsible for prospecting new business through cold calling and industry networking
  • Present a defined solution to prospective customers by creating a well-written and competitive proposal to win the business
  • Own the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing, working closely with executive stakeholders within large enterprise organizations
  • Sell the RXO value proposition for each line of business to ensure each customer is fully aware of the solutions we can provide
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly and annual revenue achievement by customer and undertake appropriate action with key stakeholders to ensure that commitments are being met or exceeded
  • Accurately record and maintain sales activity in OneCRM to ensure data integrity for effective tracking and analysis

 

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7 years of full-cycle sales experience with a proven track record of success in negotiating large accounts

 

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Sales experience in transportation or logistics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Flexibility that may occasionally include evenings and weekends
  • Impeccable listening and strong communication skills
