Field Operations Manager

Compensation range for this role is: $85,000 - $103,000. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a bonus.

Only applicants that currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Centerline, MI will be considered for this role. This role will require up to 50% travel to business sites within the state. 

As a Manager, Field Operations at RXO, you’ll manage all aspects of the third-party operations on behalf of the Customer and serve as a liaison and main point of contact between the customer and third-party carrier.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Responsible for leading DDS Carrier’s Management to establish countermeasures and improvement plans to ensure customer KPI’s are achieved and executed.  Follows up with carrier regarding progress being made to these countermeasures. Monitors, tracks and evaluates DDS Carrier performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) / metrics
• Leads on-site DDS Carrier activities to include 24 by 5 coverage for all issues not limited to natural disasters, operation shutdowns, business continuity plans, etc
• Creates and maintains Standardized work procedures (SOS/JES) for DDS activities on behalf of the customer that the 3PL is required to follow
• Works with GM to establish strategies for continuous improvement of the DDS operations and cost reduction activities
• Manage customer budget to include weekly DDS invoice submission for validity and 1st level approval of invoices

What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 4 years of Logistics or transportation experience
• Demonstrated group presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
• Strong Fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) in a related Field
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
• Experience in the automotive industry
